The EU Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability aims to reform the EU’s chemicals legislation towards a toxic-free environment. The ambitious plans by the European Commission will have significant impacts on the European chemical industry and their customers. Teresa Bernheim, Manager Chemicals Policy at LANXESS, will highlight the challenges but also the opportunities of the Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability.

November 2019: LANXESS is the first major chemical company to announce the goal of becoming climate neutral by 2040 – driving the chemical industry's transition towards defossilization. How has LANXESS progressed so far - and what does it take to become climate neutral? Dr. Hubert Fink, member of the LANXESS Board of Management, will provide all the answers in this session.

Nearly every industry has felt the impacts of unprecedented supply chain and logistics issues over the last two years in some form or another, and the situation remains challenging. From traffic jams at overloaded ports, to a lack of truck drivers – supply chains are disrupted and freight costs are exploding at the same time. In this roundtable discussion, Head of Global Logistics Gabriele Willenbrinck (Germany) and Head of Logistics Management Eric Smith (USA) will share insights into these issues and discuss how LANXESS is managing the situation while focusing on providing the best service to our customers and improving long term sustainability.
